Advent’s GREENmark is the positive impact our organization strives to make on the world around us by being good stewards of our environment and its blessings. We pledge to offer green, practice green and love people. We consider products, planet and people as integral parts of the environment and try to contribute to the sustainability of each.

Being environmentally friendly is not always the easiest or cheapest way to go about business, but we believe it’s the right way. We recognize that like many people and organizations Advent has a long way to go until our GREENmark surpasses our environmental depletion, but to reach that day, we pledge to:

OFFER green. Advent will equip your organization to market with the environment in mind by offering green messaging options that will help your organization reduce, reuse and recycle. Whether at a trade show, in your own lobby, or during a special event, there is a host of eco-friendly options. Ask your experiential marketing expert for the environmentally-sound that fits your needs.

PRACTICE green. Our GREENmark is evolving. Our first step to an eco-friendly workplace was implementing a paperless workflow system. Next, our team started recycling the paper, cardboard, plastics and cans we consume in our facility as well as purchasing office products made from recycled materials. (Did you know you can buy a flash drive manufactured out of recycled plastic?!) As we expand in this area, we plan to install amenities that use fewer natural resources such as low-flush toilets and motion-censored lights. If your organization has eco-friendly tips, please share them with us!

LOVE people. Advent takes our global citizenship seriously and wishes to live out our beliefs by cultivating a culture that “loves your neighbor as yourself.” We encourage our employees to give back to the community (local or global) if they feel called. We are so proud of the way our team members contribute on a personal level. In fact they are what motivated us to do more as an organization. We share their efforts with you to brag on the great people we work with and in hope of inspiring you to give back in your community:

  • Amanda Van Noort volunteers with The Mix, a division of Fellowship Student Ministry, investing in the lives of 7th and 8th grade students to bring them into a deeper relationship with Christ and help them make a difference in their community and their schools.
  • Chad Troup helps raise money for the Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center, an organization dedicated to the financial, social and spiritual development of Nashville’s low-income families.
  • Larry Curtis leads a Celebrate Recovery program at the local women’s prison.
  • Lee Cooke serves the Morant Bay, Jamaica community through the local church of Christ and assists Ciudad de Angeles with their children’s home in Cozumel, Mexico.
  • Todd Austin works with Habitat for Humanity to build simple, decent and affordable housing for people in need.
  • Todd Cyphers volunteers with Third Coast Sports in raising money for their Faith Night.
  • The last couple years, our team has provided items for the Youth Encouragement Services Christmas Store and cold-weather clothing for the Campus for Human Development.

Advent is committed to its GREENmark. This is who we strive to be.
