Brand Your Office: From Small Business to New Business
by Amanda Van Noort
A hair stylist helps small businesses succeed?
It seems as though even daytime television now understands the importance of appearance and branding. I recently stumbled upon a new TV series called “Peter Perfect” on the Style network where a British hair stylist comes into small business to help them give their business a face-lift.
I was intrigued while watching the show because of the details Peter picked out for these small businesses to turn themselves into successful business. I find myself using many of these same principles when we do our own brand spaces makeover for business. Helping companies to define what differentiates themselves from their competition is how successful business works.
As Peter states in episodes, the importance of first impressions and describing what you do before you even meet your clients is a key marketing tool that many businesses miss the mark on. Instead of thinking about the first impression first, they think about it last. Investing in your space is really an investment in your brand. The experience a client has while visiting will allow them to make certain judgments about the business before a word is ever spoke to them.
If you won’t take advice from the marketing professionals, maybe you’ll listen to a hair stylist. Brand matters and so does your customers experience.
