We just returned from the annual ADA sum­mit in New York (well, actu­ally New Jersey, if you want to get tech­ni­cal). This is the event where the pre­mier exhibit com­pa­nies in the U.S. come together to dis­cuss ways to pro­mote the eth­i­cal prac­tice of exhibit ser­vices, to share case stud­ies and best prac­tices, and to set the agenda for the next cal­en­dar year.

At this year’s con­fer­ence a new part­ner was added. Ion Exhibits has been a leader in eth­i­cal excel­lence for many years in the Chicago area. We’re happy to see them in the ADA, and look for­ward to their contribution.

One of the most excit­ing devel­op­ments that we dis­cussed was the emer­gence of green (sus­tain­able, envi­ron­men­tally respon­si­ble) exhibits. We’re happy to see this, and we’ll have more to say on the sub­ject in the com­ing weeks.

One of the final agenda items was the announce­ment of the selec­tion of Advent to host the 2008 ADA Summit in Nashville. We were hon­ored by the announce­ment, and we look for­ward to host­ing this group next year.
